About This Spot

Stepping into Café Jindo feels like finding a quiet corner where time slows down just enough to savor something truly crafted. This cozy spot on Macleod Trail isn’t about flashy decor or bustling crowds—it’s a tender invitation to slow your pace and lean into the art of coffee. The atmosphere hums gently with the focused energy of passionate baristas who cherish every step from bean to cup, creating a space where each sip feels intentional and quietly special.

Here, the experience revolves around discovery and nuance. Whether you choose a thoughtfully curated coffee flight or a comforting matcha latte, there’s a sense that every drink tells a story. With offerings like Korean street waffles or a Korean Reuben sandwich, the kitchen adds subtle layers of unexpected warmth, blending familiar comfort with delightful cultural hints that linger pleasantly after the last bite. It’s a place where coffee lovers can explore tasting notes with knowledgeable staff who welcome curiosity without haste.

The welcoming nature of Café Jindo invites quiet moments of reflection or easy conversation with friends. Its cozy charm is less about visual flair and more about those human moments—a barista stepping out to share the tale behind your pour-over, or sharing smiles over a satisfying breakfast waffle as morning light filters in. It’s this balance of thoughtful craft and gentle hospitality that makes the café a quietly treasured spot for locals seeking a pause, a taste discovery, or simply a place where coffee feels a bit more personal.

Staff were very knowledgeable about third wave coffee and nuanced coffee tasting notes. As an espresso sampler who’s traveled to many countries in Canada, Los Angeles and Europe, this was one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. Interior is not the main focus as the coffee experience is the focal point here.

What a cute spot. Love the esthetic and that they're an inclusive welcoming space. The owner is very passionate about coffee and all the ways it comes to be in your cup. We got a coffee flight, personalized to our preference of flavours.

I came here after hearing of a barista competing in the latest V60 competition. It is a true coffee nerds dream. My girlfriend had the tiramisu latte and I ordered a tasting menu. We did wait quite a while - but that's the price you pay for exceptional coffee. I've been to a few places like this now but this is the first cafe in Canada where the barista came out to explain what I was drinking and the entire process behind how the beans were made. Of note for their specialty coffee, they give the price on what they paid for the beans - that level of transparency is exceptional and rather rare.

I always have a great time at Café Jindo! The coffee is consistently amazing, and the service is just as exceptional. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes it such a lovely place to relax or catch up with friends. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

Great cozy place to take a break from city life. Very friendly stuff! We've tried smoked vanilla donut and it was delicious. Decaf Cappuccino was good. I've tried buckwheat iced tea - weird and cool! Would recommend

Very cute ma & pa shop vibe - delicious matcha latte and shared a cronut. Free wifi. Friendly service. Lots of seating and not busy or loud. A ton of delicious menu drink options I want to come back and try!

I visited this place with my family, and everything was amazing! The waffles, sandwiches, coffee, and London Fog were all delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I especially loved the unique sandwich with kimchi, which is a special touch from this cafe. I highly recommend this cozy cafe for a relaxing time!
